I mainly use TVs for gaming, so can anyone tell me if this TV suffers from lag or other problems that may affect gameplay? Also a general review from anyone that owns it would help. Thanks!

It may due to the refresh rate (60Hz). You may notice it while watching movies. I would go with a TV with a 120Hz refresh rate at a minimum.

I am getting a Samsung 32″ class LED-LCD HDTV for Christmas this year. I have read reviews that say the sound isn’t all that great so I was wondering if there is a pretty good yet inexpensive speaker system. Obviously it would have to be able to hook up to the tv and maybe an up-converting DVD player (I don’t watch too many movies so we aren’t gonna get another blu-ray player). I only want a 2.1 or 3.1 system because I don’t want it expensive. you need to order the HD channels, they will look amazing.
I’m pretty sure that when you order the HD Channels they will send someone out to change your box from a regular on to an HD one

Samsung is top brand for hdtv.I would suggeat new 2009 model that come with good features,high contrast ratio.Try amazon.com they have good deals

Samsung is a great reliable brand and make the panels in most sony tvs so it will last. the picture will be very good but samsung always have bad quality sound (tinny) so you might want to consider other brands like Panasonic (very good sound), Sharp and LG (they make the panels in iPad and iPhone so are VERY good). All major brands will be reliable, you only ever hear the bad stories online, these big companies want you to by there products again so will all last around 10 yrs in normal use.

LCD tvs are prone to motion blurness when watching fast action sport. That’s why you won’t see any LCD tvs at retail store displaying anything that could cause you seing any motion blurness. Plasma is better for watching sports and movies, which starts at size 42″ and up for less money. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read revies for both LCD and Plasma tvs before buying one. Hope this will help you guide in the right direction for a tv.
