im planing on buying a tv to play xbox and is this at a good price for $ 500. i want a 40-50″ tv but i don’t know which one i should buy
or should i buy
Toshiba – 40″ Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV for $ 600

The TV is fine, but get one with 120Hz resolution instead. You will regret getting a 60Hz one if you use it for games or watching sports.

I’m using a HDMI cable that cost £14.99. I’ve seen that there are some around £50-£60 but I was concerned that paying that much wasn’t going to make any difference. I’m getting a good picture but It seems a bit blocky when you get near it. Is that something that all 32” LCD tv’s suffer from? I just thought I should at least get something close to HD quality or am I being picky ?

HDMI is one of the best cables out now. If the source of your picture is in HD then your tv will display it through your HDMI cable. Check your source DVD and see if its even recorded in HD.

I just bought a 46 inch 1080P toshiba from best buy and i love it. The quality is way better than my other tv which is also 1080P. Apparently the refresh rate is better (idk what this means). Anyways i got the tv for 800 dollars. Every few weeks or so they will have a deal where you can get no interest for like 18 months or something. On some tv’s like mine (the kind of expensive ones) they may give you 3 years with no interest. It is pretty sweet.

I’m buying a new PC, it won’t be my main PC but will reside on the desk in my bedroom. I’d like to use a 32″ LCD 1080p TV as it’s monitor because it could double as a decent tv when i’m in bed. Has anyone done this? What are the drawbacks to using one 32″ as opposed to a dual monitor set up with 2 19-20″ screens?

it does if you can find a cable company that broadcasts in 1080p. Even though a TV says it has 1080p doesn’t mean the cable company broadcasts in 1080p. alot of the time the broadcast in lower pixels then that

Umm I have never heard of that brand but my opinion you should get a Samsung 1080p LCD and if you got a hdmi cord for you 360 or what ever system it will look fabulous… If you go to the store and ask which tv is best for gaming they will say plasma but dont listen they are good but they got alot of problems!!!!
