I just bought a Samsung LN-40A630 40″ LCD HD TV, and I was wondering how to tune the color. I have read in some reviews that the color qualities from the factory are not set very good and that you can tune them better and get a better picture.

On Samsung’s site, they list all the models for this year, the B series. In some stores they may still have last year’s models, the A series. They could also have returns and refurbs which are even older. And during the year, sometimes the manufacturer’s discontinue a certain tv, so they remove it from their site, but the stores still sell it.
And Walmart, Costco, etc. often have slightly different model numbers with some missing features from the main model numbers on the web site for various reasons. All you can do is look at the features and buy what meets your needs.
So that’s where you may find a difference.

um yes, it’s an enormous difference, it isn’t even in HD with the component cable, it’s only in 480i, which is less than half the resolution your TV supports. I went from component to HDMI and noticed it right away, and when I went back to component it looks like crap, it made on game unplayable because the graphics were so horrible in standard def.

As for the desktop you would need something with at least a dual core CPU and a mid-range graphics card. All the wireless accessories you can pick up separately. LCD tv usually have many options for video input (vga, dvi, hdmi) and a video card is guaranteed to have at least one of those. And if your video card doesn’t match the inputs on your TV, there are adapters that come with most cards, or can be purchased very cheap online.
There are so many options that will satisfy your needs that it is hard to recommend one brand over another. Maybe try one of the custom computer sites like cyberpower or digital storm and build one to the specs mentioned above.

Yes! I love mine. It has great picture and sound quality. The menu is also easy to use so you can customize the settings with out frustration. I don’t know where you are but I got mine at ultimate electronics. Best buy and wall-mart are usually good places to find deals.

Samsung all the way. My brother has a Samsung 1080p 52″ LCD. All I can say is – b-e-a-utiful lol! I was recently at best buy inquiring about Samsung’s ToC TV’s and the LG Scarlet TV’s. The salesman said that Samsung is the top company the whole way. Whether the normal LCD or the ToC, Samsung is the best!

I’m looking to buy a great Tv for gaming, the only scare i have is that iv seen with my brothers 55 inch samsung 1080p led hd tv that when we play games there’s a lag with the controller when playing on his TV and i don’t want to spend over 1k dollars just to find out this problem. your looking at the wrong tv’s for best picture, great sound, and plays game consoles perfect,,
for the above you need a plasma tv due to they have best picture, great sound, and plays game consoles perfect. due to they do NOT motion blur when playing fast action based games unlike some led/lcd tv’s and plasma tv’s have a deeper black which means a better picture quality
and when buying a plasma tv make sure its a panasonic due to they make the BEST tv’s
